Fluorapatite, also known as fluoroapatite, is a calcium fluorophosphate mineral with the formula Ca5(PO4)3F. It is a hard, crystalline solid that can vary in color, including green, brown, blue, yellow, violet, or even colorless when pure. Fluorapatite is a major component of tooth enamel and is mined as phosphate rock for industrial applications, often alongside hydroxylapatite.
