The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is a U.S. government agency that leads the nation's civilian space program and aeronautical research. NASA was founded in 1958 and has been responsible for numerous groundbreaking missions, including the Space Shuttle program, and the deployment of the Hubble Space Telescope. Today, NASA collaborates with international and commercial partners to maintain the International Space Station, while developing new technologies for future exploration missions to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.
