Strontium

Strontium, a soft silver-white yellowish metal, is a highly reactive alkaline earth element. Bearing the symbol Sr and atomic number 38, it shares similar properties with its periodic table neighbors calcium and barium. Strontium rapidly forms a dark oxide layer upon air exposure and is primarily found in the naturally occurring minerals celestine and strontianite, serving as the main sources for mining this metal.
