Alfvén surface

from Terraforming Wiki

The Alfvén surface, named after Hannes Alfvén, is the boundary where a star's coronal plasma Alfvén speed equals its stellar wind speed. Also known as the Alfvén critical surface, point, or radius, it separates the star's corona from its wind. In 2018, NASA's Parker Solar Probe achieved the historic first by crossing the Sun's Alfvén surface.
