Hydroxyapatite

Hydroxyapatite (HAp), Ca5(PO4)3(OH), is a calcium phosphate that occurs naturally in bone and teeth. It belongs to the apatite mineral family, along with fluorapatite and chlorapatite. HAp has a hexagonal crystal structure and is usually white, although natural samples may be discolored.
